Education plays a vital role in our society, particularly in ensuring equal opportunities for all children, including those who are orphaned or marginalized. The Orphan Empowerment Society in partnership with Africa Youth and Children Development Advocacy Board are deeply committed to assisting orphans and disadvantaged children throughout Sierra Leone.

Under the TOES EDUCATION AID PROJECT and AYACDAB thematic Areas under Education has jointly launched their annual Back to School Campaign for Orphans on the 5th and 6th of September 2024. During this initiative, we distributed educational supplies such as books, pens, pencils, and other essential items.

Since 2018, The Orphan Empowerment Society has been instrumental in helping orphaned children rebuild their lives. We have also provided training to caregivers on crucial topics like Child Protection, Sexual Exploitation, Gender-Based Violence, Child Marriage, and Skills Development, ensuring the safety and self-sufficiency of every orphaned child. The Back to School Education Projects has positively impacted over 5,000 children across Sierra Leone by equipping them with educational resources and empowering them with the necessary skills for a brighter future.
We supported seven (7) orphanages benefiting over 500 children with school supplies and encouraged caregivers to actively support the educational pursuits of the children.
The following orphanages received our donations: Initiative for Women and Girls Empowerment (Gladys Home Interim Care Center), Masjid Sabiquoun Charity Foundation, Mahanahim Orphanage, Fountain of Hope Children’s Home, S. Man’s & Jee Children’s Orphanage, Redemption Orphanage, and Global Children Humanitarian Orphanage.
